Cast of Vices continues to explore the dichotomy between the precious and the banal in their Spring / Summer 2012 Collection No˚ 5. As provocateurs, Cast of Vices finds inspiration in the most unlikely of places and creates the unexpected from the everyday object. Since the brand’s premier, it has become synonymous with a distinctive mixture of subversive theory and thoughtful craftsmanship. 

Collection No˚ 5 marks the introduction of the ‘Flags’ series, a collection of sterling silver & leather badges inspired by the staple adornment of protest rallies and punk outfits of generations past. 

In addition to their jewelry offerings, Cast of Vices continues to expand their accessory line to include their ‘Corner Store’ leather shopper in a variety of new colors for Spring. Every bag is hand embossed and sewn in Los Angeles, using the finest lambskin leather to achieve the highest quality product. The design of each bag is a direct reflection of its original object of inspiration. Cast of Vices reintroduces the ‘Coming or Going’ collection of leather bracelets. Hospital or concert bracelets are available in double-faced lamp skin leather with custom plated alloy closure.

Marc Atlan for Cast of Vices


Directed by Marc Atlan, 'Fade to Grey' is the first in a series of site-specific short films created by a curated roster of artists and creatives exclusively for Cast of Vices. 

Marc Atlan is a French-born American creative director based in Los Angeles, California. Over the last two decades, Marc Atlan has been recognized internationally by more than forty awards and his diverse roster of clients includes: Comme des Garçons, Helmut Lang, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, & Maison Martin Margiela. Marc has recently launched his own fragrance 'Petite Mort', available in our curated shop.

Frances Bean Cobain by Hedi Slimane

  

Hedi Slimane captures Frances Bean Cobain wearing Cast of Vices 'Endtimes' cigarette necklace. 

Slimane has achieved global recognition over the past decade for his discovery and presentation of emerging musicians and artists. His publications on London youth are among the first books published about the early days of the new British punk-rock movement at the beginning of this decade, capturing the birth of the first generation of Internet users, and redefining the concept of "fans" as an indie youth imagery that has developed globally through emerging social networks. Slimaneʼs widely followed photographic "diary," created in 2006, established and popularized an entirely new genre—the online photo diary.

Keep Shopping, Everything Is Fine.



Created on the occasion of Vogue's 2011 Fashion's Night Out, 'Keep Shopping, Everything Is Fine' was a site-specific installation designed by Cast of Vices. The installation toured A+R design store in Venice, California as well as American Rag Cie locations throughout California and Arizona. Inspired by the growing expanse between social classes, 'Keep Shopping, Everything is Fine' serves as an ironic commentary on this divide and our consumer culture in the wake of a sinking economy.

Newspaper Print Series

  

In an ongoing series of art editions, Cast of Vices has collaborated with artists Houston (cov-proo2-hou) and Harsh Patel (cov-pr001-hp) in an effort to explore creative social critique through art. These works were printed in the USA in an edition of 1000, using a 40 year old King Press newspaper 4-color plate press. The editions will be available for free exclusively at Cast of Vices stockists worldwide.
